We are not dead yet! We passed the last funding deadline without raising enough for deposits, but a couple other avenues of funding were brought up before the event was canceled. If you are considering donating to make this event happen, please do. If you are planning a donation if X, Y or Z happens, please make a conditional pledge.
We did get a ‘build it and they will come’ suggestion from one notable individual (Hello, Mr. Watkins) and we agree that it may be true, the probable cost is more than we are willing to personally guarantee. We are intending on a nominal ticket price to cover costs and a reasonable vendor booth fee. Also to cover event costs. This is not a money-making venture, but we would like to avoid too much personal out of pocket cost.
